All Are Welcome!
Sunday Worship @ 10am
Hillsboro Presbyterian Church is known as a caring, friendly congregation. This is intentional; we practice hospitality, warmth, and kindness, desiring to reflect God’s love for everyone. People are important to us, and we would love to be a part of your life and for you to be a part of ours. As our guest, expect a warm and friendly greeting by a variety of people. We would like you to know that you encourage us through your attendance in person. We also love to hear from our online congregation!

What is worship like?
-
Worship is intergenerational. Children and youth are welcome in our worship services. Prior to the sermon, our Pastor – and other volunteers – offer a brief message for children, where they are invited to sit up front and learn. This is a fun and interactive time in our service. Children are then excused to the nursery or are welcome to remain with their parents during the duration of the service. Children’s Bags are available at our Deacons Desk to keep hands busy, if desired.
- For parents with children who need a quiet place during the service, we also have a Quiet Room available. This room is located behind the sanctuary, and it has a large one-way window looking into the sanctuary. There is audio control to enable you to hear what is happening in the sanctuary.
- We have a fellowship time, following worship, in our fellowship hall across from the sanctuary. Please join us for some cookies and coffee following the service!
- On the fifth Sunday of the month, we participate in Service Sundays following a shorter worship service. We hope you will join us!

WORD
Scripture is integral to our worship services, as we learn about Jesus Christ as revealed by God’s Word. Our worship includes Old and New Testament readings, as well as prayer and liturgy written from these texts. God’s Word is proclaimed during worship by our Pastor, and we invite you to view previous services. Pastor Rachel’s preaching style is authentic, relatable, and personable.
SACRAMENT
The Lord’s Supper
The Lord’s Supper is served the first Sunday of each month during our worship service. All are welcome who embrace the mystery of who God is in Jesus Christ. You do not need to be Presbyterian to participate. When we celebrate communion, we remember Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are equipped to serve God’s people, and we remember this sign of God’s covenant love for us. We serve gluten-free bread and juice during this meal.
Baptism
Baptism is a sign of God’s covenant, enacting and sealing what God’s Word proclaims: God’s redeeming grace, in Jesus Christ, is for all people. We are made one with Christ and are part of the Body of Christ. Those interested in baptism should see Pastor Rachel for further information.
MUSIC
Our Praise Band plays traditional hymns and contemporary worship music, accompanied by guitar, drums, piano, or keyboard. Watch a recent service to see what our worship is like. Our choir also sings often.
